American Wanderer camp slots, scholarships open to military kids

The American Wanderer Summer Camp has openings and scholarship funds available for military youth from across the United States who want to explore the National Parks this summer.

American Wanderer offers two-week camp sessions exploring more than 34 parks in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, South Dakota, Utah and Wyoming.

Currently, American Wanderer Summer Camp has openings for middle and high school-aged children (11-17) who have parents in all branches of the military and the Coast Guard.

The 2012 sessions take place on the following dates:

  • Session I: June 26-July 9
  • Session II: July 10-23
  • Session III: July 24-August 6
  • Session IV: August 7-20
