We’re discovering everything we’re learning

“We’re discovering everything we’re learning.”

It’s music to any teacher’s ears. In Alex Briasco-Brin’s math class at Freeport Middle School, students are engaged. They use laptops as the learning tools they were intended – giving students power to explore, learn and self-discover at their own pace. And, students are scoring well above average.

Be sure to check out this story, A math class that clicks, in the Tri-Town Weekly about Alex’s class. Of course, we’ll give ourselves a pat on the back, too: we were smart enough to snag Mr. Briasco-Brin to come to the Department for a special project last year, helping us put together an Open Education Resource for the MLTI program. Watch for that to go live on our MLTI website in the coming months.
