Science, math school offers summer camp for teachers

The Maine School of Science and Mathematics in Limestone is inviting science, technology, engineering and math educators to participate in a free, week-long professional development summer camp from July 22 to 28, 2012.

The summer camp, for teachers in grades 6-12, will offer participants the chance to choose from 18 different week-long STEM courses aimed at providing an in-depth understanding in STEM topics.

The Maine School of Science and Mathematics encourages school districts to send multiple educators to allow them to plan and collaborate.

The summer camp will also offer recreational opportunities, including golf, swimming, intramural sports and trips to Canada.
