Maine schools to share successes at regional conference

Teams from three Maine schools will share their stories about boosting student success through teacher leadership, building student-centered systems and focusing on the transition from middle to high school at a regional conference in March focused on school-wide improvement strategies.

Maine educators are invited to participate in the High School Redesign in Action Conference in Norwood, Mass., from March 22 to 23, an initiative of the New England Secondary School Consortium.

Educators from Deer Isle-Stonington High School, Hall-Dale Middle/High School in Farmingdale and Westbrook High School will present their stories at the conference, which will also feature presentations about schools in Connecticut, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.

The conference costs $75 per person, plus lodging costs.
