The Maine Department of Education will begin to withhold state subsidy payments for school units that have not submitted financial audits by Feb. 15.
School unit audits for Fiscal Year 2011 were initially due Dec. 30, 2011.
School units can either submit their audit materials by Feb. 15 or request an extension in order to continue receiving subsidy payments.
