hear ME now, Maine’s leading auditory oral education enter, will host a free webinar entitled “Runny Noses in the Classroom” in February to help educators learn how to recognize children who may be struggling with middle ear fluid and what they can do to help them in the classroom.
During cold and flu season, many children suffer from a conductive hearing loss that can impact their learning. Webinar participants will further their understanding of middle ear infections, its causes and the implications for children in the classroom setting. Participants will increase their knowledge of potential lingering learning challenges for children with positive histories for this infection and leave being able to implement classroom strategies to increase access to spoken language and learning for impacted children.
