Maine is required to complete an application annually for the Part C (birth through two) program under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
The General Education Provisions Act requires that the State publish each proposed application in a manner that will ensure circulation throughout the State at least 60 days prior to the date on which the plan is submitted or on which the plan becomes effective.
The Part C application for State Fiscal Year 2015 is now posted on the Department’s Special Education website at: http://www.maine.gov/education/speced/applications/.
We encourage your participation in this process by reviewing the applications and submitting comments, if you choose.
