This school year the Maine DOE will be requiring all superintendents and private school administrators to file the Update of Maine Schools form electronically through NEO, the Department’s new data management system. In the past, information about Maine schools such as physical address, phone numbers, and grade levels were distributed and collected through a paper process.
In the coming weeks, all superintendents and private school administrators can expect to receive an email with directions on how to complete the new Update of Maine Schools form. When the application is available in NEO, the form will need to be thoroughly completed and verified by electronic signature. After submission, Department staff will review all the information and will either accept the report or return it to the superintendent requesting more information.
