The daily education rates for special purpose private schools have been set for the 2014-15 school year.
Special purpose private schools may charge less than the established daily rate but cannot charge school administrative units (SAUs) or the Maine DOE more than the rate established below. Daily education rate does not include charges for related services determined per each student’s individualized education program.
The following special purpose private schools do not bill MaineCare for special education-related services.

The following special purpose private schools do bill MaineCare for special education-related services. MaineCare pays 100 percent of eligible services to the special purpose private school. The seed/match portion of the MaineCare payment to special purpose private schools is deducted from the sending SAU’s State subsidy on a quarterly basis.
