Nominations due March 4 for Young Maine Volunteer Roll of Honor

Maine youth are volunteering at a rate that has earned the state recognition in national rankings. The Young Maine Volunteer Roll of Honor is a recognition program which is part of the Governor’s Awards for Service and Volunteerism.

The program shines a light on every volunteer 18 years of age and younger who devote 50 hours or more to service during 2015. Groups and individuals are eligible and nominations are due March 4.

Recognition includes a certificate, service medal (similar to sports medals), and acknowledgement at a special youth volunteer Portland Pirates game on Sunday afternoon, April 10. There is no cost for the recognition and nominators only need to submit the form by Friday, March 4.
