The following special purpose private schools do bill MaineCare for special education-related services. The seed/match portion of the MaineCare payment to special purpose private schools is deducted from the sending school administrative unit’s state subsidy on a quarterly basis. Details regarding the seed/match process can be found at http://mainedoenews.net/2012/08/16/mainecare-seed-match-procedures/. As this is a fee-for-service system, each student’s charge will vary according to his or her IEP.
