On Oct. 7, during a statewide learning conference at Lewiston Regional Technical Center, Vicki Kimball was named Maine’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) Teacher of the Year. She accepted the award in front of nearly 500 colleagues.
Kimball instructs the Commercial Truck Driving Program for Tri-County Technical Center. Over the past three years, she has grown the program to include a Class B component along with the CDL Class A component. She has also started an adult education Class B program under the Piscataquis Valley Adult Education Cooperative. Both programs have been successful in terms of students passing their written and driving tests.
