Office of Special Services offers professional development opportunity

The Maine DOE Office of Special Services is offering a training opportunity for high school special education teachers focusing on the development of post-secondary transition plans that are compliant with State and federal regulations. The specifics on the training that begins this fall can be found here.

School administrative units that are going to be reviewed in the 2015-16, 2016-17 or 2017-18 school years will have priority.  The Department is offering small stipends to assist SAUs with the cost of making high school teachers available for this training and is encouraging SAUs to take advantage of this professional development opportunity.
