The Maine DOE is undertaking two rulemakings related to health.
Chapter 45: Rule for Health Screening in Maine is being revised to include health screenings for children in public preschool programs, which are reflected in the Chapter 124 Basic School Approval Public Preschool Program Standards regulations. A public hearing is scheduled for Nov. 2 from 9 – 10 a.m. in room 501 of the Cross State Office Building in Augusta.
Chapter 40: Rule for Medication Administration in Maine Schools is being revised to address the guidelines and emergency administration of epinephrine auto-injectors pursuant to State of Maine statute 20-A MRSA §6305 (1-9). A public hearing will be held on Nov. 2 from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. in room 501 of the Cross State Office Building in Augusta.
