Kristie Clark receives prestigious award in front of students and colleagues

LEWISTON – A second grade teacher in her twentieth year of teaching was honored at a surprise all-school assembly Monday morning with the presentation of a prestigious national teaching award, and an unrestricted check for $25,000. Maine Department of Education Commissioner Angela Faherty presented the Milken Family Foundation National Educator Award to Kristie Clark in front of students, colleagues, and local and state dignitaries at Montello Elementary School in Lewiston.
