Maine education and cybersecurity partners are coming together on February 12, 2026 for CyberStorm ’26, the third annual statewide tabletop exercise designed to strengthen school cyber preparedness and response. The event helps school leaders test and improve coordination and readiness in the face of evolving digital threats. We’re so proud to celebrate Camden-Rockport Middle School sixth grader Hannah Smith for winning the 2026 MLTI Maine Winter Classic T-shirt Design Contest! Her creative design — featuring bold headphones and a fresh take on the MLTI logo — will be featured on the official t-shirt worn by students and educators across Maine for this year’s virtual Winter Classic event. The Community Regional Charter School spread holiday cheer this season with its first-ever Giving Room, bringing joy and support to families in need! At Noble Intermediate School, students and staff are reimagining recess as a chance to build teamwork, leadership, and social-emotional skills — all while having fun and staying active. The Maine Department of Education is hiring a VISTA Maine Green Schools Network Coordinator to help build a statewide network connecting schools, educators, and community partners around sustainability and climate education. Calling all student artists! Submit your T-shirt design to represent the 2026 MLTI Student Conference – “Full STEAM Ahead”! This is your chance to have your artwork featured on the official conference tee for this exciting event. Reminder: There’s still time to nominate an outstanding early childhood professional for the 2026 Week of the Young Child® Outstanding Early Childhood Professionals Spotlight! This recognition honors early learning champions who make a big impact on children from birth through age 8. Nominations are open through February 13, 2026 — don’t miss the chance to celebrate someone great! River View Community School (RVCS) 4th-grade students launched a school-wide food drive last month to help stock the district’s food pantry. What began with a goal of 500 items quickly grew into a full-school effort. Don’t forget — nominations are still open for Maine’s State & County Teacher of the Year! This is your chance to recognize an inspiring educator who makes a difference in students’ lives every day. Nominations close at the end of January (January 30, 2026 at 5 p.m.), so submit yours soon!
