This hands-on professional learning opportunity helps school staff, law enforcement, and first responders work together to plan, communicate, respond, and recover effectively in emergencies. Maine schools and local producers are coming together to strengthen connections and support fresh, local food in our cafeterias! Congratulations to RSU 22, winners of the 2026 Maine DOE Farm-to-School Cook-Off Championship! This exciting event highlights the creativity, skill, and collaboration happening in school kitchens across the state—bringing fresh, local ingredients to the forefront of student meals. Join the Maine DOE in celebrating the power of Extended Learning Opportunities (ELOs)! Students across the state are gaining real-world experience, building skills, and exploring future careers through hands-on learning. Educators from AOS 96 recently came together for a dynamic, choice-driven professional learning experience led by the Maine DOE Office of Teaching and Learning—highlighting collaboration, educator voice, and practical strategies to support student success. Over 230 educators from across Maine came together to strengthen math teaching and learning at this year’s ATOMIM-Association of Teachers of Mathematics in Maine! From equity-focused strategies to real-world math applications, the day highlighted a shared commitment to ensuring every student can succeed in mathematics. Join us in celebrating Maine’s outstanding school library champions! Adult education is changing lives across Maine! Teachers across the state have successfully implemented their Celebrating Rural Maine plans — partnering with community organizations, creating real-world learning experiences, and sharing their stories in a newly released podcast hosted by the National Council for History Education and the Maine DOE: Celebrating Rural Maine: Community Civics and Place-Based Inquiry
