This month, we bring you proof that the professionals who work in our schools remain hard at work during the summer months, even when their students aren’t around. Maine educators have participated in a number of conferences and institutes this summer that have helped them sharpen their skills and meet the needs of their students.
The Maine Department of Education is collecting feedback from potential and current users of its website as the Department works on overhauling its online presence.
Some 260 teachers and administrators from 27 Maine schools will gather at the University of Maine on Aug. 9 to draft action plans aimed at improving literacy instruction.
