District academic staff evaluation survey data due

The new Maine DOE NEO EDFacts School Academic Staff Evaluation Survey (formerly the MEDMS Educator Quality and Effectiveness EQE survey) is scheduled for initial rollout for annual collection of teacher and principal evaluation data for the 2013-14 school year beginning Thursday, Nov. 13.  All Maine public school units are required to complete the survey no later than Dec. 19.

To complete the survey, all users must obtain proper login access and account permissions in the NEO data system. Those who currently have an active NEO account will log in normally and the module will be posted on the main system dashboard page.

Those without an existing NEO account may have recently received a NEO system initial account login email and are encouraged to follow the instructions to complete registration if they have already not done so.  Those without a NEO account or appropriate permissions should please contact the MEDMS helpdesk at medms.helpdesk@maine.gov or 624-6896 for initial account registration or permissions assistance.

Upon completing registration, users should log in via https://neo.maine.gov/DOE/NEO/Accounts/Account/Login and access the survey by choosing and clicking the link to enter the EQE module tab. From the EQE module main page, review the survey directions thoroughly and click on the “Enter EDFacts School Academic Staff Survey” link towards the bottom right of the main survey page. To enter data for a school in your school unit click that school and complete the survey. A survey data entry tutorial will soon be available via a clickable link on the survey main page.

For all other survey related questions or queries, please contact Maine DOE’s Ted Fournier at edward.fournier@maine.gov or 624-6845.
