Maine students are invited to apply for the 2016 Horatio Alger Association Scholarship Program, one of the nation’s largest privately-funded college scholarship programs specifically designed to assist high school students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their young lives.
In Maine, five students will be awarded a $7,000 scholarship, and one student will receive the National Scholarship which is awarded at $22,000 and includes attending the National Scholars Conference held in Washington, DC.
The application deadline is Oct. 25 and students may apply at www.horatioalger.org/scholarships.
