The Maine Walking School Bus Program continues to provide support to local schools on many fronts aimed to help Maine school children stay safe, keep physically active, increase learning, and promote good behavior.
Nov. 13 is the deadline to apply for consideration to receive funding, training, technical assistance, program materials, and more.

So far three Maine communities, Portland, Norway and Ellsworth are participating in the program and three more schools will be selected from the applications to launch Walking School Bus Programs in the spring of 2016.
