Maine is now in its third year of recognizing County Teachers of the Year, a program that includes the selection of 15 awardees this year, leading up to the selection of Maine’s Teacher of the Year. On Friday, Maine’s 2016 County Teachers of the Year will be announced at a ceremony at the State House Hall of Flags.
These excellent educators, from a field of 300, will be honored by the Maine Department of Education, Educate Maine and the State Board of Education. Details of the selection and celebration will be in next week’s Commissioner’s Update.
