Update of Maine Schools form now overdue – Important Second Notice

Public, 60% Publicly Funded, Private, CTE Regions are REQUIRED to submit the Maine Schools Update

The original due date for completion of this form was August 15, 2016.

Superintendent/Dean/CTE Director information is now drawn directly from the NEO Staff module. Updates to this data field must be made in NEO Staff by all public, 60% publicly funded, private and CTE regions before the Update of Maine Schools form can be submitted to Maine DOE for school approval status.

The Update of Maine Schools form must be completed immediately. This data establishes the grade spans for all the schools within your district. Completion of the form allows your staff data, as well as your student data, to be entered. This information will be used for your EPS calculations. Neither the staff nor the student EPS can be calculated for your district until the Update of Maine Schools form is completed. Staff data is also utilized to ensure certifications and CHRCs are current. As mentioned above, you will not be able to enter staff data until this form is completed.

Please check the status of your updates and complete them immediately. The form requires a superintendent signature to complete the process and make it “Ready for Approval” in NEO. This form can only be completed after your superintendent, dean, or CTE director has been entered into the staff module of NEO.

The form and instructions can be accessed on the Maine DOE Reporting Calendar. Please complete the application and verify by electronic signature. After submission, Department staff will review all the information and will either accept the report or return it to the superintendent requesting more information.
