Schools interested in putting Maine Learning Technology Initiative laptops in the hands of more students and staff members will have a chance this spring to add to their laptop arsenal.
School districts can expand their 1-to-1 computing programs to the high school and elementary levels. One- and two-year payment plans are available and include the cost of the device, warranty and all other supports, including professional development and training. The one-year plan costs $816 per pupil and the two-year plan costs $418 per pupil per year.
Districts must submit orders by May 27 in order to have the devices delivered in mid-June or early July. School districts that still need board approval before they can commit laptop funds can ask the MLTI office to “Hold the Order for Board Approval.”
Device specifications, program details, participation packets and order forms are available online at the Maine Learning Technology website.
