Maine students can visit Boston MFA for free

Maine students of all ages who attend public and private schools will be able to visit the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston free of charge starting July 1 thanks to a recent gift from a Portland foundation.

The waived admission is the result of a gift from Portland’s Lunder Foundation, which recently endowed the Lunder Maine Student Membership Program at the Museum of Fine Arts.

Starting July 1, any school group leader can request a Museum of Fine Arts visit online, and the school’s Maine address will qualify the group for free admission.

Group leaders can log onto http://www.mfa.org/visit/groups/youth to request a visit.
