New State-Required Special Education Form for Adverse Effect

In response to the Legislature’s recent adoption of amendments to the Maine Unified Special Education Regulations (MUSER) to add “Procedures for Determination of Adverse Effect on Educational Performance”, the Maine Department of Education has added a new required form: “Form for the Determination of Adverse Effect on Educational Performance.”

From the start of the 2011-2012 school year, this form must be used whenever there is a determination of eligibility under MUSER §VII.3 or consideration of a change in eligibility under MUSER §VII.4.
