Veteran teachers have a chance this year to be honored by The National Teacher Hall of Fame.
The Hall of Fame, based in Emporia, Kan., annually honors five teachers from across the United States who have at least 20 years of teaching experience. The Hall of Fame, so far, has inductees from 35 states — including Maine — and Washington, D.C.
Anyone can nominate a teacher by completing a nomination form.
The teachers nominated must be certified instructors working in public or private schools. Their experience can be in teaching pre-kindergarten through 12th grade.
