Special purpose rates to remain unchanged

The Maine Department of Education has decided to continue, for the period starting Oct. 1, 2011, to use the educational rates that are currently in place. All special purpose private schools will continue to use the education rates that were established for the 2010-11 school year until further notice.

Due to the pending changes in MaineCare policies, the Department is not prepared to proceed with adjusting the current educational rates at this time.  While the Department intends to revise the educational rates at some point in the future, there is currently no timeline for rate setting or any other related process or procedure.

The current rates are listed below.

Contact Nancy Connolly, State Agency Client Coordinator, for more information. She can be reached by email at Nancy.Connolly@Maine.gov or by phone at 207-624-6671.
