The specially appointed task force exploring the expansion of early post-secondary education opportunities for high school students has completed a survey of the state’s high schools that intends to gauge existing opportunities and areas for expanding such opportunities.
The survey garnered responses from 104 Maine high school administrators.
The survey questions and results have been published in the “Meetings and Resources” section of the Maine Department of Education’s new early post-secondary opportunities website, at http://www.maine.gov/education/earlycollege/.
One of the task force’s charges was to survey Maine schools to determine the existing availability of opportunities for high school students to enroll in post-secondary classes while still in high school. The task force must submit a written report with recommendations to the Governor and the Legislature’s Joint Standing Committee on Education and Cultural Affairs.
