The Maine Department of Education today launched a new website at www.maine.gov/doe/.
With this website, the Maine DOE introduces a new design, a new navigation structure and dozens of pages of new content designed to help website visitors find what they need. The website includes the following features, and many more:
- A completely redesigned homepage that highlights the work of the Maine DOE and Maine schools and makes it easier for visitors to find what they need.
- Special pages for Students & Families and Teachers & Administrators that offer shortcuts to popular links.
- Header and footer areas — the top and bottom sections, respectively, of each page — with helpful links.
- A listing of contact information for Maine DOE employees sortable by first name, last name and job responsibility.
- A comprehensive A-Z Index of Maine DOE Programs and website pages.
The website is not complete. In some cases, you’ll find links from the new website to content that resides on the Maine DOE’s old website at http://www.maine.gov/education. That will change gradually, however, as the website overhaul continues and more content is moved into the new and improved design.
