Raising awareness to support children of military parents

Registration for the National Guard and Reserve Institute on October 2-3 in Bangor is now open. The institute illustrates the Military Child Education Coalition’s mission to ensure quality educational opportunities for all military children affected by mobility, family separation and transition.

Through a combination of direct instruction, group work and interactive tasks, participants will develop strategies and the framework of an action plan to support children of the “suddenly military.”

Training is available to guidance professionals, school administration and other adults interested in learning more about military children.

This event is funded by the Office of the Secretary of Defense/Department of the Army and is free to participants.
