HS grads eligible for scholarship to study Mandarin in Taiwan

The Ministry of Education in Taiwan is accepting applications for the Huayu Enrichment Scholarship HES for summer 2013. This scholarship provides 15 students from New England with the opportunity to study Mandarin in Taiwan for three months (June through August, 2013).

Each student will receive a monthly stipend of NTD 25,000 (approximately $850). Applicants must be 18 years or older and possess a high school diploma or above.

The Maine DOE has a renewed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ministry of Education in Taiwan to promote educational collaboration.
