Communities invited to annual Literacy for ME conference

The Maine Department of Education’s Literacy for ME initiative is partnering with the Barbara Bush Foundation as a co-sponsor of its annual Literacy Connections Conference, open to anyone with an interest in the initiative. This conference will allow attendees to learn more about a variety of aspects of the Literacy for ME initiative, community literacy planning, and general literacy topics across the birth-adult span.

The conference will be held April 4 at Thomas College in Waterville. The registration cost, including lunch, is only $35, if you are part of a team of at least three people, or $40 if you come as an individual. Please register early, as the conference is limited to the first 300 people. The conference program is posted on the registration link so that you will be able to read about the content of the conference and make workshop selections.
