Social studies teachers invited to standards-based learning conference

Social studies teachers are invited to attend the 2013 Maine Council for the Social Studies Conference, “Content, Instruction and Technology: Standards-Based Approaches for 21st Century Learners.”

The conference agenda includes a pre-conference session with Maine DOE Social Studies Specialist Kristie Littlefield, 21 workshops spread over three breakout sessions and a keynote presentation by Jared Peatman, director of curriculum at the Lincoln Leadership Institute. The conference will be held Friday, Nov. 8 at the Augusta Civic Center.
