The Kennebec Valley Superintendents Association (KVSA) will be hosting its “Great Things Happen in Public Schools” event to share with the public the various positive enterprises occurring in area schools. The event will take place Friday, Nov. 1, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Thomas College in Waterville.
KVSA is hosting this event in collaboration with Thomas College and other postsecondary sponsors from University of Maine at Augusta and University of Maine at Farmington. Hosts and partners will offer commentary at the event’s start, followed by musical presentations by the jazz band of RSU 38 and the chorus of MSAD 13. Each school district in the KVSA will have one interactive tabletop presentation featuring a “great thing” happening in the district.
The KVSA’s goal is to help attendees understand that public schools provide an invaluable service to their communities. Maine offers many choices for learning within its public school systems to meet the needs of every learner, and KVSA districts collaborate to provide programs in the most efficient manner possible.
