Sanford High School’s student-led Interact Club is making a difference through leadership, service, and community connection. Day Mountain Regional Middle School (MSAD 58) students are using their voices to explore Maine wildlife, conservation, and environmental stewardship through a new student-created podcast! Learn more about the 2026 Maine County Teachers of the Year as they share the moments, motivations, and people that inspired them to pursue a career in education. Their stories are a powerful reminder of the impact educators make every day in classrooms and communities across Maine. Are you mentoring a new educator — or interested in becoming a mentor? 🍎 Congratulations to RSU 34 Special Education Director Kimm Kenniston on being named the 2025–2026 Special Education Administrator of the Year! At Sumner Memorial High School, the new Dirigo Program is helping students reconnect with learning through flexible schedules, personalized support, hands-on projects, and strong relationships. Nearly 300 school nurses — including 30 from Maine — gathered in beautiful Stowe, Vermont, for the 2026 New England School Nurse Conference, Elevating Excellence, held May 1–3. Congratulations to Maine’s 2026 County Teachers of the Year! A powerful day of student voice, innovation, and career-connected learning at the Hall of Flags! 🎥✨
