Social studies council hosts PD sessions in March

The Maine Council for the Social Studies (MCSS) is sponsoring two professional development sessions on the topic “Food for Thought: Regional Professional Development Gatherings for Teachers.”

The sessions will convene on Thursday, March 13 from 4:30 to 7 p.m.at the Maine Historical Society in Portland and Saturday, March 29 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Margaret Chase Smith Library in Skowhegan. The cost is $10 and includes food and drink. Contact hours will be awarded.

Note, while there will be no MCSS fall conference in 2014, the National Council for the Social Studies Conference is being held in Boston on Nov. 21-23.
