Curriculum Leader of the Year

Assistant Superintendent of RSU 3, Deb McIntyre, has been named Maine’s 2015 Curriculum Leader of the Year by the Maine Curriculum Leaders Association.

While she says her colleagues deserve the award, McIntyre is credited with overhauling the district’s K-12 curriculum, implementing the workshop model in ELA/literacy and mathematics, instituting K-12 RTI, and leading the district’s gifted and talented and NCLB/ESEA programs. She also serves as a leader in regional, state, and national curriculum, instruction, and assessment work and learning.
