The Maine Dairy and Nutrition Council is offering Fuel Up to Play 60 School Nutrition Equipment Grants of up to $5,000 per school for the 2016-17 school year. This is the first time such support has been offered to Maine schools.
The purpose of these competitive grants is to assist school nutrition directors in the purchase of equipment that will enhance the long term implementation of school lunch and breakfast programs.
Equipment may include refrigerated milk coolers, glass front milk coolers, countertop milk coolers, movable breakfast carts, and commercial blenders, including immersion-style. Each individual school may apply for up to $5,000 worth of school nutrition equipment.
