Upcoming regional meetings offer continued support for family engagement

Maine DOE’s Title I team will be conducting additional regional roundtable meetings to support and assist districts in analyzing and evaluating current (school and classroom) family engagement strategies.

During the meetings participants will gain a deeper understanding of research-based, effective family engagement strategies, examine the vision for family engagement within the classroom, school, and/or district, and begin planning for SY 2016-17.

Participants should leave the session with a sense of urgency and enthusiasm to implement strategies to engage and partner with families as well as tools to facilitate these conversations, and begin or continue this work at the school level.

Roundtable meetings are small and informal in nature. Each group is limited to 15 -20 people. Registrations will be managed in the order received for one participant from each school administrative unit.
