Recognizing school nurses

The Maine Department of Education, in collaboration with the Maine Association of School Nurses, is hosting a tea at the Blaine House this month to honor school nurses.

May 11 is National School Nurse Day and the next day, Maine’s School Nurse of the Year Sue Dunn of School Administrative Unit 6 will be awarded a plaque and pin.

In addition, retiring school nurses will also be recognized for their incredible work and years of service keeping Maine’s students healthy and ready to learn.
