Summer provides an opportunity for school districts to complete an annual review and update of their Emergency Operations Plan, also known as a Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (Title 20-A §1001.16).
Resources are available to guide districts as they review, plan, and practice emergency operations.
As local communities work on emergency operations plans, districts and school boards are encouraged to read the Maine School Security Guide: Twenty Simple Strategies to Safer and More Effective Maine Schools.
