Maine DOE co-sponsors Biennial Arts Education Conference

The Point Lookout Conference Center in Northport on Friday, Oct. 9 was abuzz with arts educators for the Biennial Statewide Arts Education conference, The Measure of Success. The day was filled with student performances, celebrations, presentations, networking and workshops, conversations, questions, and wonderings. From the opening music performance by Camden Hills Regional High School Jazz Band under the direction of Nancy Rowe to the closing session with a theatre performance of selections from the Addams Family under the direction of Kim Murphy, the day was educational, energizing, and filled with surprises!

MAHPERD conference celebrating 70 years

Local education agency indirect cost rate proposal webinar

The Maine DOE has contracted with MAXIMUS Consulting Services to provide indirect cost rate proposal (ICRP) services to the Department, the State’s local education agencies (LEAs) and other entities that receive federal funds through Maine DOE and are interested in learning more about the recovery of indirect costs from their federal funds.

Regional Title I parent involvement sessions

Maine DOE will conduct regional roundtable meetings in November to support and assist districts in understanding Title I requirements of parent involvement as required by the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB). Sessions will be held in Houlton, Ellsworth and Lewiston.
