The 22 Maine schools that recently received awards in the HealthierUS School Challenge qualify for free salad bars as part of the Let’s Move! Salad Bars to Schools grant program.
The 22 schools from six Maine school districts can receive their salad bars once they apply and pledge to stock it each day.
Other Maine schools can apply to start raising funds for their own salad bars through the Salad Bars to Schools website.
The Let’s Move! Salad Bars to Schools program has a goal of funding 6,000 school salad bars nationwide over the next three years.
