Thirteen communities this fall will host forums to discuss school readiness among students entering kindergarten in Maine’s public schools.
The forums will bring together school administrators; directors, education managers and family service managers from Head Start; directors and case managers from Child Development Services; and others involved with early childhood education.
The sessions are designed to build a shared local understanding of school readiness and how a community approach toward readiness and transitions can benefit children and families and create a foundation for future school success.
The meetings will take place through much of October and November. The registration deadline for all sessions is Oct. 5.
