The Maine DOE nutrition staff has provided training to all local northern Aroostook County directors and some local staff regarding the new meal pattern.
The Department has certified three more school districts to receive an additional federal reimbursement for student lunches, meaning 10 districts are now certified in Maine. Once certified, districts receive an additional reimbursement of .06 cents per lunch. The additional money becomes available October 1, and districts continue to apply.
