Four high school finalists chosen to compete in LifeSmarts State Championship

Teams of students from high schools in Bangor, Portland, Topsham, and Baileyville will vie to represent Maine in the National LifeSmarts Competition to be held next month.

LifeSmarts offers students a challenge in five key areas: personal finance; consumer rights and responsibilities; health and safety; the environment; and technology. The four finalist teams are from United Technologies Center in Bangor, Mt Ararat High School of SAD 75, Topsham, Waynflete School in Portland, and Woodland High School in Baileyville.

The teams achieved the highest scores on a LifeSmarts online test. They now gather tomorrow for a round robin competition to determine which team receives an all-expenses paid trip to the LifeSmarts final competition in Denver on April 9-12.
