School transportation software updated

As of August 3, the Transfinder Infofinder i website was updated to offer more routing and transportation management software for easier and faster access for parents and school districts alike.

The new tool also allows districts to communicate instantly with parents via e mail notifications. In addition, districts and parents searching for schools or bus stops will have quicker access,   larger maps and an updated display.

Free online training for school districts will be offered Thursday, August 11 at 11:30 a.m. Registration is required.

Transfinder is a free, State-provided transportation software program that is available to public school districts in Maine. Infofinder i is one of several modules in the software that helps district transportation teams maintain safety and improve operations while keeping the lines of communication open with school staff and parents.

If your district would like to start using Transfinder, follow the “getting started” instructions on the Maine DOE’s School Transportation website.
