Teams of Maine educators can apply to attend a four-day institute at the Harvard Graduate School of Education this spring that focuses on implementing a coordinated approach to instruction from pre-Kindergarten through grade three.
“Making it Work: Implementing a Comprehensive PreK-3rd Grade Approach,” which takes place May 9-12, will bring together research, policy, and practice around the crucial continuum from pre-Kindergarten through third grade. This year’s institute will provide education leaders with frameworks, research, and strategies to support implementation of a comprehensive PreK-3 approach. Particular focus will be given to high-quality curricula and instruction, data-driven improvement, and engaged leadership.
The Institute is designed for teams of people who hold leadership roles within and across the PreK-3 continuum. Teams will have substantial time to work and plan together, to engage with other teams, and to learn from leading experts in the field.
Applications and more information about the institute are available online at the Harvard Graduate School of Education website. Interested teams should apply by March 1.
